CPW Canadian Production Wheel

I purchased a Canadian Production Wheel (thank you Craig’s list) yesterday. I am posting photos in hopes of identifying the wheel. It appears it may be a Cadorettte, cousin to the Hyacinthe spinning wheel. I plan to restore the wheel to a working spinning wheel. The photos below are of the wheel as found. The wheel had been on display at the home of a local couple for some twenty years. They knew none of the history of the wheel, only that they had purchased it from an antique shop in Sarasota, Florida. There are no markings on the wheel that I can find.

Free Range Knitting

I’ve been following Jane Thornton’s blog and have been inspired to engage in some “free range knitting”. I’ve a combination of space dyed cotton, blue mohair, blue-green tape and handspun blue purple wool. More as this project developes.
