Here’s the sock yarn from Fiber Space. I microwave dyed the yarn. First I wet the yarn slightly with warm detergent water. I sprinkled the yarn with Gaywool Dye. I then sealed the yarn in plastic and microwaved the sealed yarn for 8 minutes. I then sprayed the yarn with cold water until it ran clear. I hung the rinsed yarn with weights. I love all the different effects from one dye experiment. Looking forward to socks from this experiment. I plan on kniting toe up socks on my trip to and from the mountains.
