Home Profit Sock Machine

My sock machine was recently repaired where I had forced it and the old cast metal broke. It is up and running but not without a lot of frustration…not to mention a bottle of oil.

New meaning to “Tropical Twister”.

I was wondering if you could tell me who manufactured this sock machine? I realize it’s probably very old and not made for market any longer, but perhaps I might be able to find one if I look hard enough. I have eight boys at various ages and one of these would be worth its weight in gold.

This is a “Home Profit” brand sock machine. Sock machines show up on eBay and there are Ravelry.com and Yahoo.com CSM, Circular Sock Machine, groups. NZAK is manufacturing new machines out of New Zealand and Gearhart in the USA is gearing to start up again.
