This antique wheel came off eBay and the seller had purchased at an estate sale. I have no information other than I think it’s lovely. Anybody know what it is or its origin?

Interestingly, the foot treadle is hinged from metal brackets on the front of the treadle. For close up photos, click on small photos above:

I can’t help with it’s origins, but it is a lovely wheel. A great addition to any spinners collection.
That is really a great Mystery.
Indeed a great mystery. Someone had it rigged with a single heavy like an electric cord (plastic covered wire) drive band. I think it needs to be a double band. I’ll be trying to rig it like that. I’m also missing a nut that keeps the whorl from turning. I’ll be searching my favorite Ace Hardware, Crowder Brother’s Hardware. They sell nuts and bolts singly and without plastic so I “try-on” different sizes until I find one that fits.
(Wish work didn’t get in the way during the day and I could just play!)
