Spin-Off Magazine … Hot Wheels

spin off hot wheels

The cover title, “Hot Wheels”, Spin-Off Spring 2015, refers to a round-up of One-Of-A-Kind Spinning Wheels. I wrote the article and several wheels from my “collection” were featured. The article has been well received and has garnered a request for more. The next round-up will be for “personalized” spinning wheels.

I’m looking for photos of wheels that started their lives as one of many  but have been decorated to express the personality of the owner/spinner.  (Not custom or one-of-a-kind wheels.)

Guidelines for taking photos for Spin-Off HERE.

If you have a wheel you would like to have featured, add a comment and I’ll email a visual release to you for signature and directions as to how to get photo to me.

A search of decorated wheels on Rvaelry will turn up many lovely examples. This is mine, rather simple but I live it. I’ve added a name to the drive wheel since these pics were taken. I will not be in Colorado and with this wheel (which lives there) until June 6th. So I can’t take any pics until then. If this meets your needs let me know.

Just a postscript to your interesting article in Spin-Off regarding unique wheels…you should take a gander at this one. My friend found it somewhere in FL and rescued it. We called it the Chicken Crate Wheel, it’s probably cobbled together from odd parts, and some sort of frame or crate.. Perhaps the bits are from an old wheel that disintegrated. It spins like a charm. You will see her spinning on it in this vid, soon after she found it, it still needed some more cleaning. I tried it and it was easy to use.

Sorry I had technical problems with the blog and haven’t had access to posts and missed this before the article went to press. I love the Chicken Crate Wheel … It is one of my favorites on YouTube and I would have loved to have featured it.
