    The machine pictured here is indeed an early example of the Twombly machine. The serial number of this machine is 29 and the machine is in the collection of the late Albrecht Mey, in Albstadt Germany. How do I know? I bought the machine at the Brimfield flea market in July of 1988 and sold it to Mr. Mey in 1992 among with a Hinkley and a Lamb.
    By the way, I paid US$ 40.00 for the machine, that’s all the dealer was asking… the good old days..
