Left to right, needle generously loaned by Jacquie Grant of New Zealand which was modified to fit her Twombly and this is a working sock machine, second from left, sample needle provided by Groz-Beckert after they generously invested their time in researching a possible available needle and the last needle (on the right) one of six in the machine as found in an estate sale through eBay.
Hi,
did you ever get the matching needles for your twombly?
You might want to try this company:
http://www.groz-beckert.com/website/gbkg/en/products.html
I read somebody had gotten their needles there for their antique sock knitting machine.
The twombly looks like the electric knitting machines used in production nowadays.
It looks so nice it makes me want one…
Good luck,
Victoria
I did get needles and got them from groz-becker.com In addition to having an amazing range of products, they are really nice people.
Actually, I did get needles from Groz-beckert … they have a huge range of needles and they are very nice. Haven’t attempted to get her working … too many projects and work getting in the way.
